Nicole LePere was born and raised in Southern California. She started swimming at age five for both her high school and the Fullerton Aquatics Sports Team (FAST).
Nicole moved to Virginia to attend & swim at the University of Richmond where she held the school and A10 conference records in the 200 backstroke. As a team captain she also earned the Helen Reba Humbert Award for athletic, leadership and scholarly attributes and was inducted into the Hall of Fame with the 2010-2011 Swimming & Diving team.
In 2009 Nicole qualified for and competed in USA Swimming's World Championship Trials in the 100 and 200 backstroke. She followed that up with the 2010 National Championships.
After college, she switched gears to marathon running and triathlons and recently qualified for the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championships. She also serves on the Executive Committee for the Sports Backers Presidents Council to help make the Richmond community more active and healthy!
